In September, 2015, global leaders adopted a far-reaching agenda for humanity – the so-called Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs. A particularly striking feature of the SDGs is the scaledup focus on health as a cross-cutting strategic agenda. Four new processes are of particular concerns here: climate change, unplanned urbanization, unhealthy lifestyles and the economic burden of out-of-pocket health expenditures. How well is Bangladesh engaged on the health impacts of these meta-trends?

PPRC and partners organized a ground-breaking UHC conference in Dhaka in April, 2015. To launch the volume drawing on proceedings of that conference and to review four critical health challenges of SDGs, PPRC together with its partners has arranged for a policy dialogue on 27 February, 2016. Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare Mohammed Nasim, MP will be present as the Chief Guest. Leading policy-makers and professionals from the health, urban, civic and development sectors will participate. You are cordially invited.
