Health
PPRC’s interest in the health agenda arose from the twin realization that health is a poverty driver and that health can also be a growth driver through a holistic agenda of healthcare leading to a healthier population. PPRC’s research and advocacy work on Health has been focused on the interface of health with economics and governance. In 2015, PPRC organized the first international conference on universal health coverage (UHC) in Bangladesh. In 2017, PPRC facilitated the formation of a cross-sectoral civic platform “Healthy Bangladesh” with leading health professionals and service providers, economists, fitness advocates and civic and policy activists. PPRC most recently launched a research initiative on UHC progress indicators.
